LITTLE ROCK - The following candidates filed for elective office on Friday, the ninth day of the two-week filing period. The deadline to file for the May 23 state primary is noon Tuesday.



Supreme Court

Position 2

-Roger Harrod, 61, of Maumelle. He is a district judge.



State Senate

District 18

-Keith A. Linn, 54, of Morrilton, a Democrat. He is a farmer.

District 29

-Gene Mason, 45, of Jacksonville, a Democrat. He is a teacher.

District 34

-Tracy Steele, 43, of North Little Rock, a Democrat. He is an incumbent.



State Representative

District 2

-Larry Cowling, 54, of Foreman, a Democrat. He is a farmer and a small business owner.

-Jamie Crabtree, 31, of Fouke, a Republican. He is employed at Cooper Tire and Rubber.

District 6

-John Lowery, 56, of El Dorado, a Democrat. He is a former state representative.

District 9

-Robert E. Cornelius, 60, of Crossett, a Democrat. He is a school board member and electrical and instrumentation technician.
