Governor appoints 20 to state panels Wednesday, Apr 12, 2006 Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - Gov. Mike Huckabee announced 20 recent appointments to state boards and commissions Tuesday. Those appointed: -Jane English of North Little Rock to replace Ernest Ballard on the Arkansas Psychology Board. She is retired. Her term expires Dec. 31, 2008. -Wingfield Martin of Little Rock reappointed to the veterinary Medical Examining Board. He is self-employed. His term expires March 1, 2011. -Lynn Sickel of DeValls Bluff reappointed to the Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission. He is Sickel Farms president. His term expires March 29, 2010. -Ed McKinnon of Gurdon reappointed to the Burial Association Board. He is Horne Funeral Service manager, embalmer and funeral director. His term expires Dec. 31, 2008. -John Shields of Little Rock to replace Avery Page on the Burial Association Board. He is director of the life and health division of the Arkansas State Insurance Department. His term expires Dec. 31, 2008. -Rusty Guinn of Jonesboro reappointed to the State Board of Collection Agencies. He is Credit Bureau of Jonesboro president. His term expires Jan. 1, 2009. -John White of Fayetteville reappointed to the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority. He is University of Arkansas chancellor. His term expires Jan. 14, 2010. -Paul Mastro of Little Rock to replace Harry Ward on the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority. He is vice president of engineering and manufacturing for George Fischer Sloane. His term expires Jan. 14, 2010. -Paul Horney of Russellville to replace Bum Lee on the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority. He is Innovation Industries chief executive officer. His term expires Jan. 14, 2007. -Farris Hensley of Alexander reappointed to the Arkansas Fire and Police Pension Review Board. He is a Little Rock Police Department lieutenant. His term expires Jan. 1, 2010. -Jacksonville Mayor Tommy Swaim reappointed to the Arkansas Fire and Police Pension Review Board. His term expires Jan. 1, 2010. -Ernestine Gibson of Fayetteville reappointed to the Daisy Gatson Bates Holiday Committee. She is a Staffmark Investments employee. Her term expires Feb. 21, 2009. -Eileen Henderson of Little Rock reappointed to the Daisy Gatson Bates Holiday Committee. She is manager of state government revenue for the Department of Finance and Administration. Her term expires Feb. 21, 2009. -Gary Kirkpatrick of Gurdon reappointed to the Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee, Judicial District 9 East. He is self-employed. His term expires Jan. 14, 2010. -David Strohl of Hazen to replace Susan Anglin on the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission. He is self-employed. His term expires Jan. 14, 2015. -William Mullins of Prescott reappointed to the Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee, Judicial District 8 North. He is retired. His term expires Jan. 14, 2009. -Dr. William Downs of Arkadelphia reappointed to the Arkansas Educational Television Commission. He is March of Dimes state representative. His term expires March 26, 2014. -Troy Braswell of Little Rock to replace Mark Clayton on the Amusement Ride Safety Advisory Board. He is a law clerk for Pulaski County Judge Timothy D. Fox. His term expires March 1, 2010. -Donald Martin of Siloam Springs to replace Richard W. Myhand on the Burial Association Board. He is funeral home manager of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home/Madden Enterprises. His term expires Dec. 31, 2008. -Laura Berry of Harrison to replace Donna Hutchinson on the Arkansas Student Loan Authority. She is North Arkansas College director of student success and institutional research. Her term expires July 8, 2007. |
