Governor announces appointments

LITTLE ROCK - Gov. Mike Huckabee announced 25 recent appointments to state boards and commissions Wednesday.

Those appointed:

-Bradley Williams of Conway to replace Isaac G. Ross on the Arkansas Home Inspector Registration Board. He is an attorney with Williams, Khoury & Higdon. His term expires Jan. 26, 2008.

-Charles Gangluff of Roland reappointed to the Arkansas Fire Protection Services Board. He is Rural Fire Protection Program manager for the Arkansas Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils. His term expires Oct. 18, 2008.

-Rubye Johnson of West Memphis reappointed to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Board of Visitors. She is retired. Her term expires Jan. 14, 2013.

-Maurice Henry of Fulton reappointed to the Arkansas Public Employees' Retirement System Board of Trustees. He is Hope School District safety supervisor. His term expires March 9, 2012.

-Brandi Anderson of Little Rock to replace Gaylord Solomon on the Petroleum Storage Tanks Advisory Council. She is director of education and industry relations for Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas. Her term expires Dec. 31, 2006.

-Margaret Jordan of Fort Smith to replace Claudia Shannon on the State Board of Registered Interior Designers. She is a project manager and interior designer for The Hill Firm. Her term expires Jan. 18, 2011.

-Carmen Comer of Little Rock to replace Missi Walker on the State Board of Registered Interior Designers. She is an interior designer for WER Architects/Planners. Her term expires Jan. 18, 2007.

-Shane Dallas of Caldwell to replace Travis Williams on the Arkansas Fire Protection Services Board. He is director of health and safety for Counseling Services of Eastern Arkansas. His term expires Oct. 14, 2008.

-David Kirkpatrick of Magnolia reappointed to the Arkansas Fire Protection Services Board. He is a lab technician for Albmarle Corp. His term expires Oct. 14, 2008.

-Leo Sutterfield of Mountain View to replace Jack Thomas on the Arkansas Beef Council. He is First Service Bank president. His term expires March 31, 2009.

-Bob Connell of Little Rock to replace James Adams on the Division of State Services for the Blind Board. He is director of adjustment services for Lions World Services. His term expires June 30, 2009.

-Rabbi Martin Applebaum of Little Rock to replace Gerald Johnson on the Arkansas Division of Volunteerism Advisory Council. He is rabbi of Congregation Agudath Achim. His term expires Jan. 7, 2009.

-James Fix of Morrilton to replace John Ragsdale on the Arkansas Division of Volunteerism Advisory Council. He is director of hospitality operations for Winthrop Rockefeller Center. His term expires Jan. 7, 2009.

-Dr. Alan Hunnicutt of Berryville to replace Ben Mays on the Veterinary Medical Examining Board. He is self-employed. His term expires March 1, 2009.

-Stephanie Collie of Arkadelphia to replace Kitty Jean on the Arkansas Scenic Resources Preservation Coordinating Committee. She is a Malvern Daily Record advertising representative. Her term expires Oct. 1, 2009.

-Dr. John Jucas of El Dorado to replace David Griffen on the Arkansas Delta Development Commission. He is self-employed. His term expires Aug. 1, 2008.

-George Lalman of Palestine to replace Al Wright on the Arkansas Beef Council. He is self-employed. His term expires March 30, 2009.

-Deborah Cherry of Maumelle reappointed to the Arkansas State Occupational Therapy Examining Committee. She is neurology program manager for Baptist Health Rehabilitation Institute. Her term expires March 1, 2011.

-Jessie Mae Murphy of North Little Rock to replace Faye Harner on the Governor's Advisory Council on Aging. Her term expires Jan. 14, 2010.

-Charlie Cain-Davis of Little Rock to replace Tonya Searcy Hass on the Arkansas Division of Volunteerism Advisory Council. She is a Department of Health and Human Services volunteer coordinator. Her term expires Jan. 1, 2009.

-Lolah Daniel of Springdale reappointed to the Arkansas Dietetics Licensing Board. She is director of nutrition services for St. Mary's Hospital. Her term expires Jan. 15, 2011.

-Jim Harris of Bryant to Constable of Saline County, District 5. He is an employee working with bioterrorism and agriculture threats at the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management. His term expires Dec. 31, 2006.

-Gary Bolinger of Huntsville reappointed to Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee, Judicial District 4. He is War Eagle Leather Shoppe owner. His term expires Jan. 14, 2010.

-Sylvia Ross of Cherokee Village reappointed to the Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee, Judicial District 3. She is retired. Her term expires Jan. 14, 2010.

-Chalmer Wayland of White Hall to replace Robert Crewdson on the Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee, Judicial District 11 West. His term expires Jan. 14, 2010.
