Governor announces appointments to state panels Friday, Sep 15, 2006 Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - Gov. Mike Huckabee announced 36 appointments to state boards and commissions Thursday. Those appointed: -Eileen Cole of Hope to replace Teresa Porter on the Early Intervention Interagency Coordinating Council. She is director of Children's Services at the School of Hope. She serves at the will of the governor. -Gaylene Deere of Prairie Grove reappointed to the Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park Advisory Commission. She is office manager and plant controller at Greg Enterprises. Her term expires June 13, 2011. -Steve Kueter of Paragould reappointed to the Arkansas Catfish Promotion Board. He is owner of Kueter's Fish Co. His term expires June 30, 2008. -Stewart Weaver of Edmondson reappointed to the Arkansas Corn and Grain Sorghum Promotion Board. He is a self-employed farmer with H.E. Weaver & Sons Farms. His term expires July 1, 2008. -Garbo Hearne of Little Rock reappointed to the Arkansas Arts Advisory Council. She is a self-employed retailer. Her term expires June 30, 2010. -Keith Woolverton of Pollard reappointed to the Arkansas Corn and Grain Sorghum Promotion Board. He is a self-employed farmer. His term expires July 1, 2008. -F.H. Lyons of Altheimer to the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board. He is a farmer in Jefferson and Lonoke counties. His term expires June 30, 2008. -Bess Sanders of Hot Springs reappointed to the Arkansas Arts Advisory Council. She is owner of Central Art Gallery. Her term expires June 30, 2010. -Joe Christian of Jonesboro reappointed to the Arkansas Rice Research and Promotion Board. He is a rice farmer. His term expires June 30, 2008. -Lorraine Cravens of Fort Smith reappointed to the Arkansas Arts Advisory Council. She is a tech prep specialist at University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. Her term expires June 30, 2010. -Taralou Dunklin of Dumas reappointed to the Mississippi River Parkway Commission. She is a former food service director for Dumas Public Schools. Her term expires June 8, 2011. -Jim Carroll of Brinkley reappointed to the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board. He is owner of Jimel Farms. His term expires June 30, 2008. -Herbert Hutchison of Crossett reappointed to the University of Arkansas at Monticello Board of Visitors. He is a self-employed restaurant owner. He serves at the will of the governor. -Stan King of Little Rock to replace Preston Means on the Chief Information Officer Council. He is assistant administrator of the Office of Information Services for the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration. He serves at the will of the governor. -Howarth Taylor of Hickory Ridge to replace Bill Ballard on the Cross County Quorum Court as justice of the peace District 1. He is president of Taylor Seed Farms. His term expires Dec. 31, 2006. -David Reinold of Russellville to replace Peter Prutzman on the Arkansas State Board of Registration for Foresters. He is a professional forester and appraiser and owner of Ray Camp Inc. His term expires July 18, 2011. -Judge Wiley Branton of Maumelle to replace Stacey Zimmerman on the Arkansas Coalition for Juvenile Justice. He is a circuit court judge responsible for handling juvenile cases. He serves at the will of the governor. -Kimeka Jacobs of Little Rock to replace Darstarta Martin on the Arkansas Coalition for Juvenile Justice. She is a Little Rock School District secretary. She serves at the will of the governor. -Jamin Snarr of Bentonville reappointed to the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council. He is Northwest Arkansas Community College emergency medical services programs director. His term expires July 1, 2009. -David Stoppel of Eureka Springs to replace William Seaton on the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council. He is a fire/EMS for the city of Eureka Springs. His term expires July 1, 2009. -Timothy Luft of Little Rock reappointed to the Perfusionists Advisory Committee. He is a cardiac perfusionist for Cardiopulmonary Perfusion Associates. His term expires July 14, 2009. -Jerry Hudlow of Rogers reappointed to the Arkansas Early Childhood Commission. He is chief financial officer for the city of Rogers. His term expires July 1, 2009. -Vivian Doyle of Jonesboro to replace Ben Wofford on the Arkansas Board of Hearing Instrument Dispensers. She is employed by Jonesboro Hearing Aid Service. Her term expires July 31, 2009. -Joe Barre of Jonesboro reappointed to the Perfusionists Advisory Committee. He is self-employed for Northeast Arkansas Life Support. His term expires July 14, 2009. -Nina Butler of Cabot reappointed to the State Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board. She owns Nina Butler Interiors. Her term expires July 31, 2009. -Rose Nabholz of Little Rock to replace William Grizzle on the Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. She is a retired Rebsamen Insurance account manager. Her term expires June 30, 2007. -Lauren Barnes of Little Rock to replace Patricia Vannatte on the Arkansas Board of Health Education. She is a certified health education specialist with the Department of Health and Human Services. Her term expires July 31, 2009. -Andrew Watson of Paragould to replace Larry Wood on the State Rehabilitation Council. He is a member of the Youth Leadership Forum for students with disabilities 2004-2006 at Arkansas State University. His term expires Feb. 1, 2009. -Darrell Donaldson of Hampton to replace William Anders on the Ouachita River Commission. He is Hampton School District superintendent. His term expires Sept. 1, 2012. -Frances Black of Little Rock to replace Gilbert Buchanan on the Early Intervention Interagency Coordinating Council. She is a former teacher at Arkansas School for the Deaf and owner of Darnall Pre-School. She serves at the will of the governor. -Valerie Miles of Little Rock to replace Easter Tucker on the Arkansas Dietetics Licensing Board. She is an administrative assistant in the Central High School Guidance Department. Her term expires Jan. 15, 2011. -Paul Dickson of Little Rock reappointed to the Medical Ionizing Radiation Licensure Committee. He is a self-employed radiological health physicist with Paul A. Dickson Inc. His term expires July 14, 2009. -Misty Paschall of Monticello to replace Donna Ferguson on the Arkansas Board of Health Education. She is TPAD program director at University of Arkansas at Monticello. Her term expires July 31, 2009. -Gary Kelly of Pine Bluff to replace Mary Matthews on the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy. He is a certified public accountant and president of Kelly & Stone. His term expires Aug. 17, 2011. -Lisa Williams of Searcy reappointed to the Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. She is a teacher with Arkansas Virtual School and supervising adjunct for student teachers at Harding University. Her term expires June 30, 2009. -Dr. Marvin Leibovich of Little Rock reappointed to the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council. He is professor and chairman of emergency and trauma at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. His term expires July 1, 2009. |
