Beebe appoints circuit judge Saturday, Jan 27, 2007 Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - Gov. Mike Beebe on Friday announced the appointment of James D. Kennedy of Russellville as circuit judge for the Fifth Judicial District, First Division. Kennedy will replace Circuit Judge John S. Patterson, who has announced his retirement, effective Jan. 31. Kennedy, 51, has served as a deputy prosecutor in the Fifth Judicial District and as city attorney for Danville. He has been in private practice for more than 20 years. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law and a past president of the Pope County Bar Association. He has been a member of the Arkansas Bar Association for 25 years. |
