Beebe announces 31 appointments

LITTLE ROCK - Gov. Mike Beebe announced 31 recent appointments to state boards and commissions Tuesday, including a replacement for former Congressman Tommy Robinson on the Arkansas Rural Development Commission.

Robinson, also a former Pulaski County sheriff who has served on the state Parole Board, resigned from the commission May 30, saying he wanted to avoid a conflict of interest with his work as a lobbyist.

On Tuesday, Beebe announced Robinson's replacement as Dale Freeman of Portia, whose term expires Dec. 31, 2009.

Also appointed:

-Betty Ahmad of Pine Bluff reappointed to the Sex Offender Assessment Committee. Her term expires July 1, 2010.?

-Ritter Arnold of Marked Tree reappointed to the Boll Weevil Eradication Committee. His term expires July 1, 2011.?

-Devoe Bollinger of Horatio to replace Delldon Brewer on the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission. His term expires Jan. 14, 2009.

-Michael Boone of Helena-West Helena to replace Norith Ellison on the Board of Review. His term expires Jan. 14, 2011.

-Jonathan Brown of Russellville to replace Earley Foreman on the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources Advisory Committee. His term expires July 31, 2012.

-Patty Cardin of El Dorado reappointed to the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources Advisory Committee. Her term expires July 31, 2012.?

-Zackery Cothern of Prim to replace James Damron on the State Review Committee for Historic Preservation. His term expires June 30, 2011.

-Dale Coy of Paragould to replace Sherry Stringer on the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy. His term expires Aug. 17, 2012.

-Erma Davis of Hot Springs Village reappointed to the State Review Committee for Historic Preservation. Her term expires June 30, 2011.

-Kenneth Davis of Texarkana reappointed to the Arkansas Agriculture Board. His term expires Aug. 15, 2011.

-Trent Felton of Marianna reappointed to the Boll Weevil Eradication Committee. His term expires July 1, 2011.

-Tim Freel of Nashville to replace Joe Denmon on the State Marketing Board for Recyclables. His term expires July 31, 2011.

-Marlin Freeman of Benton to replace Leonard Hefner on the Arkansas Board of Hearing Instrument Dispensers. His term expires July 31, 2010.

-Gary Dan Futrell of Nashville to replace Keith Cogswell on the Arkansas Motor Vehicle Commission. His term expires Jan. 14, 2013.

-Anne George of Bentonville reappointed to the Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Her term expires June 30, 2010.

-Jimmy Ibison of Booneville to replace Marc Oudin Jr. on the Professional Bail Bond Company and Bondsman Licensing Board. His term expires Sept. 30, 2014.

-K.C. Jones of Harrison reappointed to the Governor's Trauma Advisory Council. His term expires July 1, 2011.

-Bob Kempkes of Hot Springs reappointed to the State Review Committee for Historic Preservation. His term expires June 30, 2011.

-Ron Kincade of Mountain Home to replace Lona McCastlain on the Sex Offender Assessment Committee. His term expires July 1, 2010.

-Dr. Charles Mabry of Pine Bluff to replace Dr. Wendell Pahls on the Governor's Trauma Advisory Council. His term expires July 1, 2011.

-Celia McQuiston of Emerson to replace Carla Wardlaw on the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources Advisory Committee. Her term expires July 31, 2012.

-Rose Nabholz of Little Rock reappointed to the Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Her term expires June 30, 2010.

-Heartsill Ragon of Little Rock to replace Rickey Williams on the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority. His term expires Jan. 14, 2011.

-Rob Reynolds of El Dorado to replace Henry Pryor on the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources Advisory Committee. His term expires July 31, 2009.

-John Shannon of Cammack Village to replace Joseph Friend on the State Board of Registration for Foresters. His term expires July 18, 2012.

-John Sims of Tillar reappointed to the Arkansas Agriculture Board. His term expires Aug. 15, 2011.

-Anne Speed of Little Rock to replace Clara Henson on the State Review Committee for Historic Preservation. Her term expires June 30, 2011.

-Kimberly Watson of Mabelvale to replace Margie Gilbertson on the Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Her term expires June 30, 2010.

-George Wheatley of Fayetteville to replace Jerry Pittman on the State Marketing Board for Recyclables. His term expires July 31, 2011.

-Frank Wright of El Dorado reappointed to the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources Advisory Committee. His term expires July 31, 2012.
