Deltic Timber executive to retire, successor named Saturday, Oct 20, 2007 Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - The vice president, general counsel and secretary of Deltic Timber Corp. announced his retirement Friday, effective next month. W. Bayless Rowe, 55, said he would leave the company Nov. 1. Rowe has been a member of Deltic's management team since the company's spin-off from Murphy Oil in 1996. Prior to the spin-off, Rowe held various management positions with Murphy Oil during his 19-year tenure there. Phillip A. Pesek, 51, has joined Deltic and has been elected to succeed Rowe, effective Monday. Prior to joining Deltic, Pesek held the same titles with Anthony Forest Products Company. Before that, Pesek worked in various legal roles for The Home Depot, Wal-Mart and Dillard's. Shares of Deltic Timber (NYSE: DEL) closed Friday at $54.17, down $3.10 for a 5.41 percent loss. |
