Beebe announces appointments to state panels

LITTLE ROCK - Gov. Mike Beebe announced eight appointments to state boards and commissions on Tuesday.

Those appointed:

-Erna Boone of Cabot reappointed to the Arkansas Respiratory Care Examining Committee. Her term expires Aug. 7, 2010.

-Martha Dixon of Arkadelphia to replace Terry Youngblood on the State Board of Workforce Education and Career Opportunities. Her term expires June 30, 2014.

-Sarah Easley of Forrest City reappointed to the Arkansas Arts Advisory Council. Her term expires June 30, 2011.

-Darwin Hendrix of Antoine to replace Bootsie Ackerman on the Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission. His term expires Aug. 1, 2011.

-Mark Saviers of Little Rock, to replace George Blevins on the Arkansas Biosciences Institute Board. His term expires Oct. 1, 2009.

-Janice Taylor of Little Rock replaces Raymond Crutchfield on the Arkansas Arts Advisory Council. Her term expires June 30, 2011.

-Michael Tidwell of Little Rock reappointed to the Arkansas Arts Advisory Council. His term expires June 30, 2011.

-Donna Young of Van Buren replaces Nancy Beauchamp on the Arkansas Arts Advisory Council. Her term expires June 30, 2011.
