BREAKING NEWS: Foundation meeting canceled Tuesday, Dec 4, 2007 A 9 a.m. conference call meeting of the Razorback Foundation to discuss a salary supplement for Clemson Coach Tommy Bowden was canceled this morning, a source told the Arkansas News Bureau. The meeting wasn't rescheduled. Bowden and Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long have been meeting in South Carolina to work out an agreement for Bowden to replace Houston Nutt as the Razorback head football coach. The foundation was to meet at 7 last night to approve a supplement to Bowden's salary at Arkansas. That meeting was postponed, then that meeting was postponed until 9 this morning. The salary being discussed with Bowden apparently was in the $2.5 million per year range. Reports from South Carolina indicated Bowden had decided not to leave Clemson. That could not be immediately confirmed. |
