Governor announces 17 appointments

LITTLE ROCK - Governor Mike Beebe announced 17 appointments to Arkansas boards and commissions on Monday.

Those appointed:

-Dr. Cynthia Burroughs of Little Rock to replace Pamela Crowson on the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. Her term expires Oct. 1, 2011.

-Sean Clark of Prescott to replace James Osborn as Nevada County constable. His term expires Dec. 31, 2008.

-Dr. Foster Gladwin Connell of Little Rock to replace Frank Fusco on the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. His term expires Oct. 1, 2011.

-Lisa Drake of Forrest City to replace Jackie Mundie on the Arkansas Commission on Eye and Vision Care of School Age Children. Her term expires June 30, 2009.

-Dr. Martin Eisele of Little Rock to replace Julia Rader on the Arkansas State Board of Acupuncture and Related Techniques. His term expires July 31, 2010.

-Victor Hiryak of Little Rock to replace Roy Rainey on the Real Estate Commission. His term expires Dec. 31, 2010.

-Daniel Honey of Little Rock to replace Joe Musgrove on the Early Intervention Interagency Coordinating Council. He serves at the will of the governor.

-Pam Hyneman of Jonesboro to replace Brenda Gullett on the Arkansas School for the Blind and Arkansas School for the Deaf Board of Trustees. Her term expires Jan. 14, 2010.

-Dr. Jacquelyn McCray of Pine Bluff to replace Larry Perrin on the Burial Association Board. Her term expires Dec. 31, 2010.

-Brenda Murphree of El Dorado to replace Dan West on the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. Her term expires Oct. 1, 2011.

-Melanie Posey of Paragould to replace Billy Holifield on the Burial Association Board. Her term expires Dec. 31, 2010.

-Doris Scroggin of Vilonia to replace Gregory Evans on the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. Her term expires Oct. 1, 2011.

-Pete Sims Jr. of El Dorado to replace Earl Sanders on the Burial Association Board. His term expires Dec. 31, 2010.

-Pat Floyd Smith of Hot Springs to replace Ray Smith Jr. on the National Park Community College Board of Trustees. His term expires Nov. 4, 2008.

-Sylvester Smith of Camden reappointed to the Real Estate Commission. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2010.

-Douglas Watson of Roland reappointed to the Arkansas School for the Blind and Arkansas School for the Deaf Board of Trustees. His term expires Jan. 14, 2013.

-Cynthia Wolfe of Jonesboro to replace Drew Crawford on the Arkansas State Board of Acupuncture and Related Techniques. Her term expires July 31, 2010.
