Beebe authorizes paid leave for state employees affected by storms Saturday, Feb 16, 2008 Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - Gov. Mike Beebe signed an executive order Friday that grants up to a week of paid emergency leave for state employees whose homes suffered substantial damage during the tornados and thunderstorms on Feb. 5. The damaged home must be the employee's primary residence, the order said. Beebe spokesman Matt DeCample said Friday the governor's office does not know how many employees need the leave. Affected employees should contact their supervisors or directors, Beebe said. |
