Beebe announces 27 appointments to state panels

LITTLE ROCK - Gov. Mike Beebe Tuesday announced the following appointments to Arkansas boards and commissions:

-Donna Adkins of Hot Springs reappointed to the Arkansas Local Police and Fire Retirement System Board of Trustees. Her term expires Jan. 1, 2012.

-Lillian Arnold of Pine Bluff to replace Janice Myers on the Home Health Care Service Agency Advisory Council. Her term expires June 30, 2010.

-Claudia Barone of Little Rock to replace Connie Ash on the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee. Her term expires Oct. 1, 2011.

-Daniel Curtner of Wynne to replace Van Alexander on the Arkansas Local Police and Fire Retirement System Board of Trustees. His term expires Jan. 1, 2012.

-Tobi Fairley of Little Rock to replace Maribeth Frazer on the State Board of Registered Interior Designers. Her term expires Jan. 18, 2013.

-Bobby Ferguson of Texarkana reappointed to the Arkansas Motor Vehicle Commission. His term expires Jan. 14, 2015.

-Billy Garner of Booneville to the Individual Sewage Disposal Systems Advisory Committee. His term expires Oct. 1, 2011.

-Allen Gresham of Thornton to the Individual Sewage Disposal Systems Advisory Committee. His term expires Oct. 1, 2011.

-Malcolm Hayward of Fayetteville to replace Mary Oman on the Oversight Committee on Breast Cancer Research. His term expires Jan. 1, 2012.

-Jim Henson of Little Rock to replace Dan Curtner on the Arkansas Local Police and Fire Retirement System Board of Trustees. His term expires Jan. 1, 2012.

-Tom Kirk of Paragould to replace Drake Keith on the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. His term expires Jan. 14, 2012.

-Dr. Karen Kozlowski of Little Rock reappointed to the Oversight Committee on Breast Cancer Research. Her term expires Jan. 1, 2012.

-Suzanne Laffoon of Searcy to replace Donald Johnson on the State Board of Registered Interior Designers. Her term expires Jan. 18, 2013.

-Dr. Corbet Lamkin of Chidester reappointed to the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission. His term expires Jan. 14, 2015.

-Dr. Jerry Lewis of Pine Bluff to replace Mary Benjamin on the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee. His term expires Oct. 1, 2011.

-Suzanne McCarthy of Little Rock to replace Dr. Craig Stotts on the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee. Her term expires Oct. 1, 2011.

-Jerry Markham of Little Rock reappointed to the State Board of Collection Agencies. His term expires Jan. 11, 2011.

-Randall "Butch" Morris of Umpire reappointed to the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training. His term expires Jan. 14, 2015.

-Colleen Nick of Alma reappointed to the Crime Victims Reparations Board. Her term expires Oct. 5, 2012.

-Gene Remy of Booneville reappointed to the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Board. His term expires Jan. 14, 2012.

-Ronald Rooney of Paragould reappointed to the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee. His term expires Oct. 1, 2011.

-Danny Russell of Ashdown to replace Paul Lucas on the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training. His term expires Jan. 14, 2014.

-James Smalley of Little Rock reappointed to the Home Health Care Service Agency Advisory Council. His term expires June 30, 2010.

-Philip Thompson of Summit reappointed to the Home Health Care Service Agency Advisory Council. His term expires June 30, 2010.

-John Tyer of Clinton reappointed to the Individual Sewage Disposal Systems Advisory Committee. His term expires Oct. 1, 2011.

-William Willis of Hot Springs reappointed to the Arkansas Geological Commission. His term expires Jan. 14, 2015.

-Debby Woods of Hot Springs to replace Susanne Tullos on the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee. Her term expires Oct. 1, 2011.
