BJ Services to build $82 million regional headquarters in Searcy

LITTLE ROCK - BJ Services Company announced Tuesday it would locate an $82 million regional headquarters in Searcy to support the natural gas industry in the Fayetteville Shale area.

The company will provide pressure pumping and other oil field services to natural gas companies in the region and plans to employ approximately 150 people by the end of the year, the company said.

BJ Services will operate out of a new 64,000 square-foot building on 40 acres.

The company qualifies for three different state incentives based on payroll, according to Arkansas Economic Development Commission spokesman Joe Holmes.
