Simmons First posts dividend

LITTLE ROCK - Simmons First National Corp.'s board of directors declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 19 cents per share on Thursday.

The dividend is payable April 1 to shareholders of record as of March 17. The dividend is a penny increase over the dividend paid for the same period in 2007.

Shares of Simmons First (NasdaqGS: SFNC) closed Thursday at $26.11, down 65 cents.
