Arkansans reappointed to Treasury advisory board Friday, Mar 14, 2008 Stephens Washington Bureau WASHINGTON - The president Thursday reappointed two Arkansans to a board that advises the director of a U.S. Treasury division. Nancy Leake of Bella Vista and J. French Hill of Little Rock were chosen to the 15-member Community Development Advisory Board. The board advises the director of the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund on the organization's policies. The fund allocates grants and gives tax credits to promote economic development and affordable housing across the country. Leake has been on the board for four years. She is executive director of Community Development Corp. in Bentonville. She was reappointed to a four-year term that begins June 13. Hill is chairman and CEO of Delta Trust and Banking Corp. of Little Rock. He was appointed to fill the remainder of a term that expires in 2011. Hill has served on the panel since 2006. |
