Beebe appoints 21 to boards and commissions

LITTLE ROCK - Gov. Mike Beebe announced the appointments of 21 Arkansans to state boards and commissions Wednesday.

Those appointed:

-David Allen of Siloam Springs to the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame Board, replacing Brenda McAnulty. The appointment expires Sept. 1, 2013.

-Dr. Lawrence Braden of Camden to the state Board of Health, replacing Dr. Timothy Webb. The appointment expires Dec. 31, 2011.

-Jamie Carter of West Memphis to the Governor's Trauma Advisory Council, replacing Randy Fale. The appointment expires July 1, 2009.

-Chuck Dodson of Hot Springs reappointed to the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame Board. The appointment expires Sept. 1, 2013.

-Lucien Gillham of Sherwood to the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, replacing Kay Delly Arnold. The appointment expires Jan. 14, 2016.

-George Harper of Little Rock to the state Board of Health, replacing Vickey Boozman. The appointment expires Dec. 31, 2011.

-Terri Hollingsworth of Little Rock to the Minority Business Advisory Council, replacing Juan Hurtado. Appointee serves at the will of the governor.

-Ivan Hudson of Little Rock to the Minority Business Advisory Council, replacing Tyronne Davis. Appointee serves at the will of the governor.

-Dr. Anthony Hui of Fayetteville reappointed to the state Board of Health. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2011.

-Excell Lafayette of Bentonville reappointed to the Minority Business Advisory Council. Appointee serves at the will of the governor.

-Dr. William Lagaly of Hot Springs to the state Board of Health, replacing Dr. Robert Sanders. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2011.

-Lynda Lehing of Little Rock, reappointed to the State Board of Health. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2011.

-Glenn Mixon of White Hall reappointed to the Criminal Justice Institute Advisory Board. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2013.

-Ronald Pitts of Hensley to the Information Network of Arkansas, replacing John Stottman. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2010.

-Gail Robinson of Lake Village to the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame Board, replacing Bonita Smith. Appointment expires Sept. 1, 2013.

-David Rosengrant of Pine Bluff to the Board of Developmental Disability Services, replacing Randy Lann. Appointment expires Jan. 15, 2015.

-Steve Stephens of Little Rock reappointed to the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame Board. Appointment expires Sept. 1, 2013.

-Aaron Stewart of Wynne to the Information Network of Arkansas, replacing Don Wales. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2010.

-Peggy Walker of Heber Springs reappointed to the state Board of Health. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2011.

-Dr. Susan Ward-Jones of Marion reappointed to the state Board of Health. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2011.

-Dr. Anika Whitfield of Little Rock to the state Board of Health, replaces Caesar Divino. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2011.
