Safe Foods announces strategic alliance with Jubilant Organosys Tuesday, May 20, 2008 Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - Safe Foods Corp. has entered into a stock purchase agreement with Jubilant Organosys Ltd. of Noida, India, the privately held North Little Rock-based company announced Monday. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Jubilant has acquired a minority investment in Safe Foods, the company announced. Jubilant has "significant competence" for manufacturing cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC), which is the active ingredient in Safe Foods' proprietary Cecure brand antimicrobial solution, currently used by food processors as a food safety intervention. International demand for the product is rapidly growing, Safe Foods CEO Curtis Coleman said. "This strategic alliance with one of the world's leading contract research and manufacturing companies will be key in enabling Safe Foods to take full advantage of this demand in the global marketplace," Coleman said. |
