Acxiom names new global sales leader Wednesday, May 21, 2008 Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - A 20-year veteran of Electronic Data Systems will head global sales for Acxiom Corp., the data firm announced Tuesday. Shawn Donovan will fill the post of global sales leader. Donovan has worked in various capacities with EDS, including roles as a sales and account management leader in consulting solutions, digital services and global accounts. Most recently, he served as the vice president over the banking and capital markets sector for the company. "Shawn's experience makes him the right person to help Acxiom launch its growth strategy that is focused on global opportunities, a strategic consulting practice, digital and multi-channel offerings, and multiple industries," Acxiom CEO John Meyer said. Donovan, who will report to Meyer, is the second new management hire Acxiom has announced in less than a week. Last week, Acxiom reported a $58.3 million fourth-quarter net loss, due largely to restructuring costs. Shares of Acxiom (Nasdaq: ACXM) closed Tuesday at $13.49, up 2 cents. |
