The Stephens Group partners with Acute Technological Services Saturday, May 24, 2008 Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - The Stephens Group has finalized a recapitalization deal that gives the Little Rock equity firm a majority interest in Houston-based Acute Technological Services LLC, the Texas deepwater technology company announced Friday. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The investment prepares Acute for its next stage of growth, the company said in a release. Acute also announced that Rick Turner, senior managing director of The Stephens Group, would serve on Acute's board of directors, along with Cullen Spitzer of Spitzer Industries Inc., a company affiliated with the Stephens Group; Hunter Carpenter, a principal of The Stephens Group; and Brad Goebel, an industry veteran. Some of the largest and most sophisticated companies in the global energy production and infrastructure industries are among Acute's customers, officials said. |
