Officials to recognize high performing high schools Wednesday, May 28, 2008 Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - Eight high-performing state high schools are to be honored at the Governor's Mansion today. Gov. Mike Beebe and state Education Commissioner Ken James will recognize the Best Practice schools identified through an in-depth analysis of academic achievement developed by the National Center for Educational Achievement. Best Practice high schools include Bentonville, Clarksville, Dardanelle, Flippin, Nashville and Pocahontas high schools. Also included are Southside High School in Fort Smith and Parkers Chapel High School in El Dorado. The NCEA used data collected by the state Department of Education to identify the schools. |
