Governor announces 16 appointments

LITTLE ROCK - Gov. Mike Beebe announced 16 appointments to state boards and commissions Tuesday.

They included:

-Shauna Allen of Hot Springs replaces Steven Hitt on the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission. Her appointment expires Feb. 1, 2012.

-Paul Bennett of Pine Bluff replaces Mac Bellingrath on the Southeast Arkansas College Board of Trustees. His appointment expires July 1, 2014.

-Walter Fenton of Fayetteville reappointed to the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission. His appointment expires Feb. 1, 2012.

-Beverly Foti of Little Rock replaces Ted Suhl on the Child Welfare Agency Review Board. Her appointment expires March 1, 2012.

-Monty Freel of Bryant replaces Dan Melton on the Arkansas Home Inspector Registration Board. His appointment expires Jan. 26, 2010.

-Burt Henderson of Morrilton replaces Larry DeGroat on the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission. His appointment expires Feb. 1, 2012.

-Cary Hill of Texarkana appointed Miller County Constable, District 5. The appointment expires Dec. 31.

-William Howard of Jonesboro reappointed to the Arkansas Sentencing Commission. His appointment expires May 15, 2013.

-Rep. Larry "Buddy" Lovell of Marked Tree reappointed to the Arkansas Deaf and Hearing Impaired Telecommunications Services Corporation. His appointment expires June 1, 2011.

-Betty McGee of El Dorado reappointed to the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission. Her appointment expires Feb. 1, 2012.

-Ernest Northup of Little Rock reappointed to the Arkansas Deaf and Hearing Impaired Telecommunications Services Corporation. His appointment expires June 1, 2011.

-Stephen Tedder of De Queen replaces Judge Robert Lowery as Sevier County District Court Judge. The appointment expires Dec. 31, 2008.

-Sanford Tollette of Little Rock reappointed to the Child Welfare Agency Review Board. His appointment expires March 1, 2012.

-Edwin E. Waddell, Sr. of Sherwood replaces Pat Crase on the Board of Review. His appointment expires Jan. 14, 2011.

-Judge Gordon Webb of Harrison reappointed to the Arkansas Sentencing Commission. His appointment expires May 15, 2013.

-Todd Wilcox of Jonesboro replaces Judy Titsworth on the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission. His appointment expires Feb. 1, 2012.
