Snyder, wife expecting triplets Tuesday, Jul 1, 2008 Stephens Washington Bureau WASHINGTON - Rep. Vic Snyder and his wife announced Monday they are expecting triplets. "Yes, we did say triplets," Snyder said in a news release. Snyder, D-Little Rock, and his wife, the Rev. Betsy Singleton, have a 2-year-old son, Charles Pennington "Penn" Snyder. Singleton is pastor of the Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church in Little Rock. She is 10 1/2 weeks pregnant, according to the release. "We appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers now and in the weeks and months to come," Snyder said. Multiple births aren't new to the state's congressional delegation. Arkansas' senior senator, Blanche Lincoln, has 12-year-old twin boys. Lincoln on Monday offered this advice to Snyder and his wife: "Whenever anyone offers to help, take them up on it," she said, and "Make sure each child always has their own birthday cake." |
