Dillard's sales fall 5 percent in June Friday, Jul 11, 2008 Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - Dillard's Inc. reported Thursday that June same-store sales fell to $593.3 million, down 5 percent compared to the same period last year. Sales were down 4 percent in total stores. Company officials noted that sales of juniors' and children's apparel were "significantly below trend," for the five-week period. So far this year, Dillard's has announced at least 10 store closings. Shares of Dillard's (NYSE: DDS) closed Thursday at $9.35, down 46 cents for a new 52-week low. |
