Jason Wiest joined the Arkansas News Bureau in October 2006 as a business reporter.
A native Nebraskan, Wiest graduated with high distinction from the University of Nebraska-LincolnŐs College of Journalism and Mass Communications in May 2006.
While in college, Wiest wrote and edited for the Daily Nebraskan, an independent student newspaper that has the stateŐs fifth-largest circulation, contributed to two college-produced magazines and freelanced for the Lincoln Journal Star.
Wiest relocated to Arkansas for an internship at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, where he worked as a cops and general assignment reporter, before joining Stephens Media.
