FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas has issued an update on the marketing intern who was injured during Saturday's game when a T-shirt launcher accidently discharged.

The incident occurred during the first quarter of Arkansas' 34-14 win against Louisiana-Lafayette. The intern was taken out of the stadium and to the hospital.

Below is Arkansas' full statement on the incident:

"The marketing intern injured in an incident involving a T-Shirt launcher at Saturday's football game was treated and released from the hospital over the holiday weekend. At the time of the discharge, the launching device was not in the process of being fired and was lying on the turf. Medical personnel were present at the scene and responded immediately. In accordance with the intern's privacy rights, the University of Arkansas does not plan to comment on any further details relating to this matter. The T-Shirt launcher will not be used for this Saturday’s football game and a decision regarding any further use will be made in the future. The safety and wellbeing of all fans and personnel attending Razorback events remains of paramount importance to Razorback Athletics and the University of Arkansas."
