FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas is heading to the Manhattan (Kan.) Regional and will play its opening game against Bryant on Friday at 7 p.m.
The NCAA Tournament field was announced on Monday morning and the Razorbacks were selected as the No. 2 seed in a four-team field that includes No. 1 seed Kansas State, No. 3 seed Bryant and No. 4 seed Wichita State. Kansas State was selected as one of 16 NCAA Regional hosts on Sunday.
Arkansas (37-20) was hoping to earn a regional at Baum Stadium, but will travel to play in the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season. Bryant, the Razorbacks' opening-game opponent, went 44-16-1 this season and earned an automatic spot in the field after winning the Northeast Conference Tournament on Sunday.
The winner of the Manhattan Regional will play the winner of the Corvalis (Ore.) Regional in a Super Regional. The Corvalis field includes Oregon State, Texas A&M, Texas-San Antonio and UC Santa Barbara.
Arkansas won a regional and super regional on the road last season to advance to the College World Series.

Game 3: Game 1 loser vs. Game 2 loser, 2 p.m.
Game 4: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner, 7 p.m.
Game 5: Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 loser, 2 p.m.
Game 6: Game 4 winner vs. Game 5 winner, 7 p.m.
Game 7 (if necessary): - Game 4 winner vs. Game 6 winner, 7 p.m.
