Food, water hand-out planned

Representatives from the Ruth Haze Foundation will hand out free sack lunches, bottled water, popcorn and snow cones at 11 a.m. Saturday in front of the Community Rescue Mission, 310 N. F St. The foundation was formed by Darrien Robinson and offers to help area individuals and families in need.

Ruth Haze representatives also will be handing out free sack lunches, popcorn, bottled water and clothing from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 21 outside the John 316 building in downtown Tulsa.

Sign up for nature painting workshop

The Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area will host a nature painting workshop for all skill levels from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the visitor center, 20201 Arkansas 12 in Hindsville. The workshop will be led by Lyshell Reann Hiatt-Blech. Cost is $30 per person.

UAFS to host blood drive

The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith will host its summer blood drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center, 800 N. 49th St. Donors will receive two free general admission tickets to either an Arkansas Naturals baseball game or Safari Joe's Water Park in Tulsa or one adult and one child ticket to the Science Museum Oklahoma. Tickets are available while supplies last.
