LITTLE ROCK — Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Friday appointed Little Rock lawyer Chris Palmer as employer representative to the Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission.

Palmer replaces Karen McKinney. His term will be six months.

“Chris brings a wealth of experience to an already stellar group of commissioners, and his knowledge of Arkansas law will benefit the state and our people,” Hutchinson said in a statement.

The governor added, “I want to thank Karen McKinney, who’s done an outstanding job in her role on the commission. She’s served our state and this commission with honor and distinction, and I wish her the very best.”

Palmer is a partner at Dodds, Kidd and Ryan law firm in Little Rock. In his 30 years of practice, Palmer has represented numerous employers and employees in workers’ compensation cases, according to a news release from the governor’s office.
