LITTLE ROCK — Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., announced Monday that Impact Management Group partner Clint Reed has been hired as Rubio’s new chief of staff.
Reed was campaign manager for Rubio’s recent Senate re-election effort and was a campaign strategist for the senator’s failed presidential bid in this year’s Republican Primary.
“Clint is one of the most talented political operatives in America,” said Terry Benham, IMG’s managing partner. “Being tapped as the chief of staff to one of the most influential members of Congress is a testament to his talent, and I’m certain he will be a solid asset to Sen. Rubio. We are obviously disappointed to see Clint leave the firm but we are happy for his success and wish him the very best.”
Reed has been a partner at IMG since 2009. Prior to joining the firm, he served as regional political director at the Republican National Committee and is responsible for many of the legislative gains the Republican Party has made in Arkansas.
“It’s an honor to have been a part of the Impact Management Group family for the last eight years,” said Reed. “I truly believe we have built the best political and public affairs firm in Arkansas and one of the very best in the South. I’m grateful for this call to public service, but I will always appreciate the lifelong friendships I’ve developed within our firm.”
