“I'm passionate about high quality care, food and education about pets,” said Lisa Clem, owner of Barkansas Pet Supply. “It was my privilege to sponsor the recent Pet Expo at the Coronado Center.”
Many of the attendees at the Expo discovered there was more to feeding their pet than just providing food picked from a shelf. Vendors, along with Clem, were on hand to explain the nutritional value of food, treats and supplements for dogs and cats.
Every pet is unique, not only in their breed, but, also, their age, weight, allergies and other issues are affected by the food they eat and the treats they’re given. It is highly important to select the best diet that fits your particular pet's needs.
Barkansas offered a food glossary detailing which products are potentially dangerous to pets. Those products are not in any of the items offered at the store. “There are specific dangers in food containing animal fat and chemical preservatives such as BHA,” said Clem. “We offer free recommendations on how to keep your pet healthy and even reduce the amount of food your pet will need if they are on a high quality diet, which can save you money in the long run.”
“I want everyone to know how much I value Lisa and her support at Barkansas. She is a great listener and has been there to help me with my pet’s needs from food to offering great advice about traveling with my pet,” said Diane Bell.
“I've been a customer at Barkansas since they opened and can't say enough good things about their knowledge, customer service and recommend it to all pet owners,” said Joke Smit.
