LITTLE ROCK — Republican Asa Hutchinson reported Friday raising more than $445,000 for his run for governor in the last three months of 2013.

The former congressman’s campaign released an October-through-December report showing it spent about $150,000 during the quarter, leaving more than $1.3 million in Hutchinson’s campaign coffers. More than 91 percent of contributors live in Arkansas, the campaign said.

"We are so pleased to announce the results of our best fundraising quarter ever," Hutchinson said in a release. "It shows we are gaining momentum and that Arkansans are excited about our vision for Arkansas’ future."

Quarterly campaign finance reports are due Wednesday.

Two other Republicans are seeking the GOP nomination for governor — state Rep. Debra Hobbs of Rogers and Little Rock businessman Curtis Coleman.

The only Democrat in the governor’s race is former Congressman Mike Ross, who reported raising $1.12 million between July 1 and Sept. 30. Hutchinson’s third-quarter fundraising totaled $325,000.
