Harold N. (Buster) Reynolds, 91, of Lavaca passed away Nov. 11, 2017, in Fort Smith. He was born June 16, 1926, in the Lick Creek Valley area to Jim and Ellie Reynolds. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. During his younger years, he played semi-pro baseball for the South Fort Smith baseball team, The Smokers. He was also a member of the Old Fort Beagle Club, where he owned and trained a Grand Field Champion, Buck. He was retired from the Fort Smith School System and was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Jo Ann Sharum Reynolds; and a son, Neil Reynolds. He is survived by two sons, Don Reynolds and his wife, Beckey of Fort Smith and Dale Reynolds, and his wife, Debra of Rogers; five grandchildren, Joe Reynolds of Little Rock, Sarah and Katie Reynolds of Fort Smith, Chris Reynolds of Pea Ridge and Keven Reynolds of Rogers. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a sister, Ruby Jean Einart of Spanaway, Wash.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will greet family and friends at Fentress Mortuary today from 5-6:30 p.m.
Honorary pallbearers are Bob Reynolds, Joe Reynolds, Keven Reynolds, George Foster, Leroy Lindsey and Bill Cross.
