I am in complete agreement with the letter written by Esther Sanders on Nov. 6; however, I have additional reasons. As a former circulation manager for a major metropolitan daily, I am aghast that you should cover up the headline. This is no way to attract readers at your single copy outlets throughout the city. I might also add that your headlines are not usually big attention grabbers to begin with. These half page ads covering page one as well as the advertising stickers that cover part of the headline are not conducive to good sales.

And while I am in a complaining mood, I suggest you hire a proofreader to correct the MANY mistakes I find in your paper, even in the editorials. Shameful!
