GREENBRIER — The pilot of a small aircraft has died after the plane crashed Monday at the Arkavalley airstrip near Greenbrier, Faulkner County Sheriff’s Department officials said.
Chuck Snyder died when his plane clipped a tree and crashed near the private airport off Arkansas 287. The airport’s owner, Tim Tyler, told the Log Cabin Democrat that he believed Snyder was the only person in the plane during the crash.
"It was a new craft that he was using," Tyler said. "He is the only one dead."
Tyler is in Oklahoma and has been in contact with officials at the airport.
Multiple agencies responded to the accident.
