LITTLE ROCK — U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor raised nearly $2 million during the first three months of the year for his 2014 re-election bid, his campaign said Thursday.
Pryor, expected to be a high-priority target for Republicans next year as the lone remaining Democrat in Arkansas’ congressional delegation, raised $1.9 million during the first quarter and ended the period with $3.4 million on hand, his campaign said.
No one has announced a challenge of Pryor’s bid for re-election to a third term in the U.S. Senate. Several Republicans have been mentioned as possible contenders, including freshman U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton, Lt. Gov. Mark Darr and U.S. Rep. Steve Womack.
