1. Defend The Option

Ole Miss has been successful running out of its spread option, getting ball carriers in one-on-one situations on the edge. Jeff Scott has been key to the ground game. So has quarterback Bo Wallace. Both will test the Razorbacks today.

2. Avoid Turnovers

Arkansas’ turnover troubles played a significant role in the 1-4 start. But the Razorbacks have not turned the ball over in its past two games. Ball security will be vital once again against an Ole Miss defense starting to force turnovers.

3. Pick Up Blitzes

Ole Miss defensive coordinator Dave Wommack is known for bringing blitzes in a variety of ways. The Rebels collect 19 sacks, which is fourth-best in the SEC. There will be opportunities for big plays if Arkansas handles the blitz today.

4. Run Game Success

Arkansas has seen gradual growth in its run game the past few weeks and believe a breakout performance is coming. Maybe it happens against Ole Miss, which surrendered 350 rushing yards to Texas and 290 to Texas A&M.

5. Sound In Secondary

Arkansas hasn’t allowed much through the air the past two weeks. But both Auburn and Kentucky have struggled throwing the ball all year. Ole Miss and Bo Wallace will be a much bigger test for Arkansas’ secondary, which believes it has grown.
