FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas baseball team is on top of one more preseason poll.

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association placed Arkansas No. 1 in its preseason rankings Monday. The NCBWA poll is the final preseason poll to be released before the 2013 season begins next month.

Arkansas also is ranked No. 1 in the USA Today Baseball Coaches and Collegiate Baseball preseason polls, which were released earlier this month. The Razorbacks are No. 2 in Perfect Game’s preseason poll and No. 3 in Baseball America’s poll.

The NCBWA poll has four Southeastern Conference teams among its top six. It includes LSU (No. 3), Vanderbilt (No. 4) and South Carolina (No. 6). Kentucky (No. 12), Florida (No. 15), Mississippi State (No. 16), Texas A&M (No. 24) and Ole Miss (No. 25) also is in the NCBWA’s top 35 preseason poll.

Arkansas opened preseason practice last Friday. The Razorbacks open the 2013 season against Western Illinois on Feb. 15 in Baum Stadium.
