American Pickers, a well-known show on the History Channel, is coming back to Arkansas in early November and they’re looking for interesting characters with interesting items, according to a news release.
Mike Wolfe, Frank Fritz and the crew of American Pickers will return to Arkansas to film the show in November, according to a news release.
“American Pickers is a documentary series that explores the fascinating world of antique ‘picking’ on History,” according to the release. “The hit show follows Mike and Frank, two of the most skilled pickers in the business, as they hunt for America’s most valuable antiques. They are always excited to find sizeable, unique collections and learn the interesting stories behind them.”
The crew plans to film episodes of American Pickers throughout the area.
“The way we find people and collections for our show is through spreading the word far and wide so that people know we’re coming to town,” a spokesman said. “We are looking for different, unusual and unique items too – something we’ve never seen before and with an interesting story!”
“As they hit the back roads from coast to coast, Mike and Frank are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. Along the way, the Pickers want to meet characters with remarkable and exceptional items. The pair hopes to give historically significant objects a new lease on life, while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way,” according to the release.
The pickers have seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and are always looking to discover something they’ve never seen.
American Pickers is produced by Cineflix Productions for the History Channel. New episodes air Mondays at 9 p.m. EST.
“They are ready to find extraordinary items and hear fascinating tales about them. American Pickers is looking for leads and would love to explore your hidden treasure. If you or someone you know has a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through, send us your name, phone number, location and description of the collection with photos to: email@example.com or call 855-OLD-RUST or on facebook: @GotAPick,” according to the release.
Also, the agency only picks from private collections, not from stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses or anything open to the public, according to the release.
