LITTLE ROCK — Attorney General Dustin McDaniel was "doing well" Monday after having a reaction to a new blood-pressure medication and being taken to a hospital, a spokesman said.

McDaniel was admitted to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock for observation Monday morning, spokesman Aaron Sadler said.

Sadler said Monday afternoon that McDaniel was busy making phone calls and responding to emails and texts. He said the attorney general appreciated everyone’s thoughts and concerns.
