LITTLE ROCK — Attorney General Dustin McDaniel was released from a Little Rock hospital Tuesday, a day after he was admitted for observation because of an adverse reaction to medication.

McDaniel was taken to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences on Monday morning after a new blood-pressure medication made him dizzy and caused his blood pressure to spike, according to spokesman Aaron Sadler.

McDaniel was released about noon Tuesday and plans to resume his full work schedule Wednesday, Sadler said. He said the attorney general has been prescribed a new blood-pressure medication that appears to be working well.
