LITTLE ROCK — Former President Bill Clinton will campaign for Democratic candidates in Fort Smith and several other Arkansas cities on Sunday, two days ahead of the general election, the state Democratic Party announced Thursday.

LITTLE ROCK — Former President Bill Clinton will campaign for Democratic candidates in Fort Smith and several other Arkansas cities on Sunday, two days ahead of the general election, the state Democratic Party announced Thursday.


"When President Clinton campaigns in Arkansas, he is coming home to people he knows and a state he loves," state Democratic Party Chairman Vincent Insalaco stated in a news release. "President Clinton understands what it takes to fight for everyday Arkansans because he’s done it his whole life."


Clinton’s scheduled stops Sunday are:


—State Line Post Office and Federal Building, Texarkana, noon.


—Mid-South Community College, West Memphis, 2:30.


—That Bookstore, Blytheville, 4:40.


—Northside High School, Fort Smith, 7 p.m.


Tickets are required and will be available at the doors and at select locations in each city.


Clinton has been criss-crossing the nation campaigning for Democrats, including recent visits to Washington, D.C., Florida, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Nevada, California and Kentucky. According to news reports, he is scheduled to visit Georgia on Friday and Iowa on Saturday.


Earlier this month, Clinton headlined a series of Democratic rallies in Arkansas, most of them on college campuses.
