LITTLE ROCK — Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz will campaign in Arkansas on Sunday, two days before the state’s March 1 primary, according to an official with Cruz’s Arkansas campaign.

"We expect to probably have two events and an opportunity for him to meet people, one in Northwest Arkansas and one in Central Arkansas, but the details have not all been lined out yet," said state Rep. Bob Ballinger, R-Hindsville, Arkansas co-chairman for the Cruz campaign.

The Texas senator and winner of the Feb. 1 Iowa Republican caucus will be making his third visit to Arkansas as a presidential candidate. He made campaign stops in Little Rock, Russellville and Van Buren in August and in North Little Rock in December.

Arkansas elected officials who have endorsed Cruz include Secretary of State Mark Martin.
