LITTLE ROCK — Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz will appear with conservative television and radio personality Glenn Beck at a rally in Little Rock on Saturday, three days before Arkansas’ primary election, Cruz’s campaign said Friday.

Also Friday, Democrat Hillary Clinton’s campaign released details about a Sunday rally in Pine Bluff and Republican Marco Rubio unveiled an ad featuring Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson.


Cruz’s Courageous Conservatives Rally is scheduled for 8 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m.

Cruz also will attend a service at Cross Church in Springdale at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, according to state Rep. Bob Ballinger, R-Hindsville, Arkansas co-chairman for the Cruz campaign.


Clinton’s campaign said she will hold a rally at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff at 5:45 p.m. Sunday in the HPER Arena Lobby. Doors will open at 4 p.m.


The former Arkansas and U.S. first lady and former secretary of state will encourage people to take advantage of early voting, which continues Saturday and Monday, according to a campaign news release. She also will "lay out the case for why she is the only candidate who has the experience to get the job done and break down the barriers that hold Arkansas back," the campaign said.

In Rubio’s new ad, Hutchinson appears onscreen and says into the camera:


"It’s time to unite behind the conservative who will win in November. That’s why I am endorsing Marco Rubio. This election isn’t a show. The consequences are real. We need a leader who will keep America safe, grow our economy instead of government, and always be guided by a strong faith.


"I’m Asa Hutchinson. Marco Rubio is the conservative I trust. I am voting for him. I hope you will, too."


Hutchinson also is scheduled to appear with the Florida senator at two events before Tuesday’s primary. On Saturday they are to attend a 9:30 rally at Immanuel Baptist Church’s Global Outreach Center in Rogers, and on Monday they are to attend a 3 p.m. rally at the University of Central Arkansas’ indoor practice facility in Conway.
