LITTLE ROCK — Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Tuesday appointed Holly Meyer to Arkansas’s 16th Judicial District, 2nd Division Circuit Court.

Meyer, currently chief deputy prosecutor in Cleburne County, will replace John Adam Harkey, who resigned for health reasons.

Meyer previously served as chief counsel for the state Department of Human Services. She is a graduate of Hendrix College and the University of Arkansas law school and has been practicing law since 1989.

"Her knowledge of Arkansas law is evident and her experience is invaluable," Hutchinson said in a statement. "I have no doubt Holly will do a fine job for the district, its people and our state as a whole."
