LITTLE ROCK — Thousands of Jehovah’s Witnesses from across Arkansas are expected to converge in Little Rock for a state convention June 12-14.


"Imitate Jesus" is the theme for the convention, which will be held at the Statehouse Convention Center in downtown Little Rock, said convention spokesman Judah Day.


About 3,000 people are expected to participate in activities including a musical program, theatrical productions shown on giant movie screens, sound dramas, interviews, educational Bible discourses, a public viewing of candidates being baptized and demonstrations featuring practical ways to imitate Jesus today, Day said.


Jehovah’s Witnesses are organizing 453 conventions in 29 languages in 124 cities across the U.S. Worldwide, there are over 8 million Jehovah’s Witnesses in more than 115,000 congregations, according to Day.
