LITTLE ROCK — State Insurance Commissioner Allen Kerr said Tuesday he wants to remind Arkansans that the open enrollment period for Medicare ends Monday.

LITTLE ROCK — State Insurance Commissioner Allen Kerr said Tuesday he wants to remind Arkansans that the open enrollment period for Medicare ends Monday.


"Don’t wait until the last minute to make the best decision for your Medicare health plans and prescription drug coverage for 2016," Kerr said in a news release. "I urge all Arkansans receiving Medicare benefits to review and compare their options ahead of next Monday’s deadline."


During the open enrollment period, Medicare-eligible Arkansans can:


—Change from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan.


—Change from a Medicare Advantage Plan back to Original Medicare.


—Switch from one Medicare Advantage Plan to another Medicare Advantage Plan.


—Switch from a Medicare Advantage Plan that doesn’t offer drug coverage to a Medicare Advantage Plan that offers drug coverage.


—Switch from a Medicare Advantage Plan that offers drug coverage to a Medicare Advantage Plan that doesn’t offer drug coverage.


—Join a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan.


—Switch from one Medicare drug plan to another Medicare drug plan.


—Drop Medicare prescription drug coverage.
