LITTLE ROCK — Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio will campaign in Arkansas on Saturday and again on Monday, the day before the state’s primary election, his campaign said Wednesday.

Rubio will visit Bentonville on Saturday and will visit a location Monday that was not immediately announced, according to a statement from the campaign.

Rubio’s Arkansas chairman, state Sen. Bart Hester, R-Cave Springs, did not immediately return a call Wednesday afternoon seeking comment.

The Florida senator will be making his second and third campaign appearances in Arkansas as a presidential candidate, following a rally he held in Little Rock on Sunday.

Several Arkansas elected officials have endorsed Rubio, including Gov. Asa Hutchinson, Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin, state Auditor Andrea Lea and U.S. Reps. Steve Womack, R-Rogers, and Rick Crawford, R-Jonesboro.
