LITTLE ROCK — A Powerball ticket sold in Lockesburg is worth a $2 million prize, state lottery officials said Thursday.

The ticket buyer, who had not claimed the prize by midday Thursday, correctly chose the numbers on the five white balls but did not choose the Powerball number. The player spent $2 on the ticket and $1 to select the Power Play option, which doubled the prize from $1 million to $2 million.

The player bought the ticket at the B&B Junction on U.S. 71 North.

The $50 million Powerball jackpot was hit Wednesday night by a Florida player. The jackpot for Friday night’s drawing will be $40 million.
